6TSKCOMजब मपीबोशेत, जो योनातन का पुत्र और शाऊल का पोता या, दाऊद के पास आया, तब मुह के बल गिरके दणडवत्‌ किया। दाऊद ने कहा, हे मपीबोशेत ! उस ने कहा, तेरे दास को क्या आज्ञा?
7TSKCOMAnd David said unto him, Fear not: for I will surely shew thee kindness for Jonathan thy father’s sake, and will restore thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually.
7TSKCOMDavid said to him, “Don’t be afraid; for I will surely show you kindness for Jonathan your father’s sake, and will restore to you all the land of Saul your father. You will eat bread at my table continually.”

7TSKCOMദാവീദ് അവനോടു: ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; നിന്റെ അപ്പനായ യോനാഥാന്റെ നിമിത്തം ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു ദയകാണിച്ചു നിന്റെ അപ്പനായ ശൌലിന്റെ നിലം ഒക്കെയും നിനക്കു മടക്കിത്തരുന്നു; നീയോ നിത്യം എന്റെ മേശയിങ്കൽ ഭക്ഷണം കഴിച്ചുകൊള്ളേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
7TSKCOMDaaveed avanotu: bhayappetendaa; ninre appanaaya yonaathaanre nimitham njaan ninnotu dayakaanichu ninre appanaaya shaulinre nilam okkeyum ninakku matakkitharunnu; neeyo nithyam enre meshayingkal bhakshanam kazhichukollenam ennu paranjnju.
7TSKCOMदाऊद ने उस से कहा, मत डर; तेरे पिता योनातन के कारण मैं निश्चय तुझ को प्रीति दिखाऊंगा, और तेरे दादा शाऊल की सारी भूूमि तुझे फेर दूंगा; और तू मेरी मेज पर नित्य भोजन किया कर।

9TSKCOMतब राजा ने शाऊल के कर्मचारी सीबा को बुलवाकर उस से कहा, जो कुछ शाऊल और उसके समस्त घराने का या वह मैं ने तेरे स्वामी के पोते को दे दिया है।

10TSKCOMനീയും നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരും വേലക്കാരും നിന്റെ യജമാനന്റെ മകന്നു ഭക്ഷിപ്പാൻ ആഹാരമുണ്ടാകേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന്നുവേണ്ടി ആ നിലം കൃഷിചെയ്തു അനുഭവം എടുക്കേണം; നിന്റെ യജമാനന്റെ മകനായ മെഫീബോശെത്ത് നിത്യം എന്റെ മേശയിങ്കൽ ഭക്ഷണം കഴിച്ചുകൊള്ളും. എന്നാൽ സീബെക്കു പതിനഞ്ചുപുത്രന്മാരും ഇരുപതു വേലക്കാരും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

10TSKCOMअब से तू अपके बेटोंऔर सेवकोंसमेत उसकी भूमि पर खेती करके उसकी उपज ले आया करना, कि तेरे स्वामी के पोते को भोजन मिला करे; परन्तु तेरे स्वामी का पोता मपीबोशेत मेरी मेज पर नित्य भोजन किया करेगा। और सीबा के तो पन्द्रह पुत्र और बीस सेवक थे।
11TSKCOMThen said Ziba unto the king, According to all that my lord the king hath commanded his servant, so shall thy servant do. As for Mephibosheth, said the king, he shall eat at my table, as one of the king’s sons.
11TSKCOMThen Ziba said to the king, “According to all that my lord the king commands his servant, so your servant will do.” So Mephibosheth ate at the king’s table, like one of the king’s sons.

11TSKCOMരാജാവായ യജമാനൻ അടിയനോടു കല്പിക്കുന്നതൊക്കെയും അടിയൻ ചെയ്യും എന്നു സീബാ രാജാവിനോടു പറഞ്ഞു. മെഫീബോശെത്തോ രാജകുമാരന്മാരിൽ ഒരുത്തൻ എന്നപോലെ ദാവീദിന്റെ മേശയിങ്കൽ ഭക്ഷണം കഴിച്ചുപോന്നു.

11TSKCOMसीबा ने राजा से कहा, मेरा प्रभु राजा अपके दास को जो जो आज्ञा दे, उन सभोंके अनुसार तेरा दास करेगा। दाऊद ने कहा, मपीबोशेत राजकुमारोंकी नाई मेरी मेज पर भोजन किया करे।
