1TSKCOMThen answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,
1TSKCOMThen Zophar, the Naamathite, answered,
1TSKCOMThen answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,
1TSKCOMAthinnu nayamaathyanaaya sophar utharam paranjnjathenthennaal:
2TSKCOMShould not the multitude of words be answered? and should a man full of talk be justified?
2TSKCOM“Shouldn’t the multitude of words be answered? Should a man full of talk be justified?
2TSKCOMShould not the multitude of words be answered? And should a man full of talk be justified?
2TSKCOMVaagbaahulyathinnu utharam parayendayo? vituvaayan neethimaanaayirikkumo?
3TSKCOMShould thy lies make men hold their peace? and when thou mockest, shall no man make thee ashamed?
3TSKCOMShould your boastings make men hold their peace? When you mock, shall no man make you ashamed?
3TSKCOMShould thy boastings make men hold their peace? And when thou mockest, shall no man make thee ashamed?
3TSKCOMNinre vaaypata kettittu purushanmaar mindaathirikkumo? nee parihasikkumpol ninne lajjippippaan aarumillayo?
4TSKCOMFor thou hast said, My doctrine is pure, and I am clean in thine eyes.
4TSKCOMFor you say, ‘My doctrine is pure. I am clean in your eyes.’
4TSKCOMFor thou sayest, My doctrine is pure, And I am clean in thine eyes.
4TSKCOMEnre upadesham nirmmalam ennum thrikkanninnu njaan vetippullavan ennum nee paranjnjuvallo.
5TSKCOMBut oh that God would speak, and open his lips against thee;
5TSKCOMBut oh that God would speak, and open his lips against you,
5TSKCOMBut oh that God would speak, And open his lips against thee,
5TSKCOMAyyo daivam arulicheykayum ninre nere adharam thurakkayum
6TSKCOMAnd that he would shew thee the secrets of wisdom, that they are double to that which is! Know therefore that God exacteth of thee less than thine iniquity deserveth.
6TSKCOMthat he would show you the secrets of wisdom! For true wisdom has two sides. Know therefore that God exacts of you less than your iniquity deserves.
6TSKCOMAnd that he would show thee the secrets of wisdom! For he is manifold in understanding. Know therefore that God exacteth of thee less than thine iniquity deserveth.
6TSKCOMJnjaanamarmmangal vividha saaphalyamullava ennu ninne grahippikkayum cheythu engkil! appol ninre akrithyam oronnum daivam kshamichirikkunnu ennu nee ariyumaayirunnu.
7TSKCOMCanst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection?
7TSKCOM“Can you fathom the mystery of God? Or can you probe the limits of the Almighty?
7TSKCOMCanst thou by searching find out God? Canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection?
7TSKCOMDaivathinte aagaadhathathvam ninakku grahikkaamo? sarvvashakthanre sampoorthi ninakku manassilaakumo?
8TSKCOMIt is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know?
8TSKCOMThey are high as heaven. What can you do? They are deeper than Sheol. What can you know?
8TSKCOMIt is high as heaven; what canst thou do? Deeper than Sheol; what canst thou know?
8TSKCOMAthu aakaashatholam uyaramullathu; nee enthu cheyyum; athu paathaalathekkaal agaadhamaayathu; ninakkenthariyaam?
9TSKCOMThe measure thereof is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.
9TSKCOMIts measure is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.
9TSKCOMThe measure thereof is longer than the earth, And broader than the sea.
9TSKCOMAthinre parimaanam bhoomiyekkaal neelavum samudrathekkaal veethiyum ullathu.
10TSKCOMIf he cut off, and shut up, or gather together, then who can hinder him?
10TSKCOMIf he passes by, or confines, or convenes a court, then who can oppose him?
10TSKCOMIf he pass through, and shut up, And all unto judgment, then who can hinder him?
10TSKCOMAvan katannuvannu bandhikkayum visthaarasabhaye koottukayum cheythaal avane thatukkunnathu aar?
11TSKCOMFor he knoweth vain men: he seeth wickedness also; will he not then consider it?
11TSKCOMFor he knows false men. He sees iniquity also, even though he doesn’t consider it.
11TSKCOMFor he knoweth false men: He seeth iniquity also, even though he consider it not.
11TSKCOMAvan nissaaranmaare ariyunnuvallo; drishtivekkaathe thanne avan droham kaanunnu.
12TSKCOMFor vain man would be wise, though man be born like a wild ass’s colt.
12TSKCOMAn empty-headed man becomes wise when a man is born as a wild donkey’s colt.
12TSKCOMBut vain man is void of understanding, Yea, man is born [as] a wild ass`s colt.
12TSKCOMപൊണ്ണനായവനും ബുദ്ധിപ്രാപിക്കും; കാട്ടുകഴുതക്കുട്ടി മനുഷ്യനായി ജനിക്കും;
12TSKCOMPonnanaayavanum budhipraapikkum; kaattukazhuthakkutti manushyanaayi janikkum;
13TSKCOMIf thou prepare thine heart, and stretch out thine hands toward him;
13TSKCOM“If you set your heart aright, stretch out your hands toward him.
13TSKCOMIf thou set thy heart aright, And stretch out thy hands toward him;
13TSKCOMNee ninre hridayathe sthiramaakki avangkalekku kaimalarthumpol
14TSKCOMIf iniquity be in thine hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles.
14TSKCOMIf iniquity is in your hand, put it far away. Don’t let unrighteousness dwell in your tents.
14TSKCOMIf iniquity be in thy hand, put it far away, And let not unrighteousness dwell in thy tents.
14TSKCOMNinre kayyil droham untengkil athine akarruka; neethiketu ninre kootaarangalil paarppikkaruthu.
15TSKCOMFor then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; yea, thou shalt be stedfast, and shalt not fear:
15TSKCOMSurely then you shall lift up your face without spot; Yes, you shall be steadfast, and shall not fear:
15TSKCOMSurely then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; Yea, thou shalt be stedfast, and shalt not fear:
15TSKCOMAppol nee kalangkamkootaathe mukham uyarthum; nee urechunilkkum; bhayappetukayumilla.
16TSKCOMBecause thou shalt forget thy misery, and remember it as waters that pass away:
16TSKCOMfor you shall forget your misery. You shall remember it like waters that have passed away.
16TSKCOMFor thou shalt forget thy misery; Thou shalt remember it as waters that are passed away,
16TSKCOMAthe, nee kashtatha marakkum; ozhukippoya vellampole athine orkkum.
17TSKCOMAnd thine age shall be clearer than the noonday; thou shalt shine forth, thou shalt be as the morning.
17TSKCOMLife shall be clearer than the noonday. Though there is darkness, it shall be as the morning.
17TSKCOMAnd [thy] life shall be clearer than the noonday; Though there be darkness, it shall be as the morning.
17TSKCOMNinre aayussu madhyaahnathekkaal prakaashikkum; irul prabhaathampoleyaakum.
18TSKCOMAnd thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; yea, thou shalt dig about thee, and thou shalt take thy rest in safety.
18TSKCOMYou shall be secure, because there is hope. Yes, you shall search, and shall take your rest in safety.
18TSKCOMAnd thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; Yea, thou shalt search [about thee], and shalt take thy rest in safety.
18TSKCOMപ്രത്യാശയുള്ളതുകൊണ്ടു നീ നിർഭയനായിരിക്കും; നീ ചുറ്റും നോക്കി സ്വൈരമായി വസിക്കും;
18TSKCOMPrathyaashayullathukontu nee nirbhayanaayirikkum; nee churrum nokki svairamaayi vasikkum;
19TSKCOMAlso thou shalt lie down, and none shall make thee afraid; yea, many shall make suit unto thee.
19TSKCOMAlso you shall lie down, and no one shall make you afraid. Yes, many shall court your favor.
19TSKCOMAlso thou shalt lie down, and none shall make thee afraid; Yea, many shall make suit unto thee.
19TSKCOMNee kitakkum; aarum ninne bhayappetuthukayilla; palarum ninre mamatha anveshikkum.
20TSKCOMBut the eyes of the wicked shall fail, and they shall not escape, and their hope shall be as the giving up of the ghost.
20TSKCOMBut the eyes of the wicked shall fail. They shall have no way to flee. Their hope shall be the giving up of the spirit.”
20TSKCOMBut the eyes of the wicked shall fail, And they shall have no way to flee; And their hope shall be the giving up of the ghost.
20TSKCOMEnnaal dushtanmaarute kannu mangippokum; sharanam avarkku poypokum; praanane vitunnathathre avarkkulla prathyaasha.
